IDM:HR enables HR to be in control of their user data, processes and documentation
IDM:HR – Why?
User data is primarily generated and maintained by Human Resources, and it is more than ever of utmost importance that user data is correct and of the highest quality. Why…? Because it is, and will continue to be, the data source for user creation, payroll management, invoicing etc., in all other systems and applications.
But what is the definition of data quality? According to Data Quality Management (DQM), “quality of data is defined by different factors, such as the accuracy, the completeness, the consistency, or the timeliness.” *
ISO, GDPR, ITIL, COBIT and other frameworks, focus on user data quality, effective processes and documentation – and the requirements continue to increase. Furthermore, quality of data is necessary to fulfill the needs of the organization in terms of operations, planning and decision-making. Today most of a company’s operations and strategic decisions heavily rely on data, so the importance of quality is even higher.
So, the data quality must as good as humanly possible – which means that the quality and description of the processes must be the same. The rewards of increasing data quality include:
- Better Control
- Improved Data Quality
- Exact Documentation
- Less Risk
- Higher Security
- Best Practice
